CHAMPS
CHAMPS Program
CHAMPS is a proactive and positive approach to classroom management used by teachers in the Tupelo Public School District to create a positive learning environment.
What is CHAMPS?
CHAMPS is an acronym that stands for:
- Conversation: Can students talk to each other during this activity?
- Help: How do students get questions answered? How do they get the teacher's attention?
- Activity: What is the task or objective? What is the end product?
- Movement: Can students move around during this activity?
- Participation: How do students show they are fully participating? What does active engagement look like?
- Success: When students meet the CHAMPS expectations, what does success look like?
